About TargetCancer Foundation
TargetCancer Foundation is a Cambridge-based not-for-profit that promotes the development of lifesaving treatment protocols for rare cancers. By granting seed money to critical projects that otherwise would not be supported at their initial stages, TargetCancer Foundation supports young, courageous scientists who are committed to finding therapies for rare cancers, and ultimately, all cancers. TargetCancer Foundation was founded in 2009 by Boston attorney Paul Poth after his own diagnosis with a rare cancer- cholangiocarcinoma- at age 38. Since then, TargetCancer Foundation has catalyzed rare cancer research programs at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute with over $635,000 in grant funding. These programs have led to new clinical trials, multiple publications, and increased awareness for rare cancers that otherwise receive little attention.
