About Ashland Education Foundation, Inc. (AEFI)

The AEFI is a community-based organization dedicated to providing enhanced educational opportunities for students in the Ashland Public Schools. Since 2010, the AEFI has raised over $520,000 towards funding innovative projects within the Ashland Public Schools. Our Mission: Broaden community support for education. Promote excellence by encouraging educators to take innovative approaches to education. Serve as a conduit for foundation, corporate and individual donors to fund challenging programs in support of Ashland Public Schools' goals and curriculum. The AEFI provides funding to the Ashland Public School System through two programs: Annual Innovation Grants Program School Needs Grants The Innovation Grants Program is the primary way money raised by the AEFI is distributed. Over the past three years, with money raised in part by the AEFI Gala, the Innovation Grants Program and the Marathon Challenge, the AEFI has awarded over $103,000 to teacher & administrators in our schools. The AEFI School Needs Grants focus on identifying and addressing infrastructure shortfalls within the Ashland School District.
